Pork Roast with Taco Sauce is easy to make in your slow cooker. You can make it as spicy as you want with your favorite taco sauce.

Pork Roast with Taco Sauce

Making pork roast with taco sauce in a slow cooker is a breeze, making it the perfect go-to meal when you want something delicious without much effort.

To make this dish, start with a two-pound pork loin roast, garlic, onions, and a bottle of your favorite taco sauce. Simply place the roast in the slow cooker, top it with garlic and onions, then pour the taco sauce over the pork. The sauce adds a tangy, slightly spicy flavor that infuses the pork as it slowly cooks. If you prefer less spice, feel free to swap out taco sauce for a milder option like tomato sauce. Once everything is in the slow cooker, set it to cook on low for six hours.

Slow Cooker Makes It Easy!

Slow cookers are excellent for creating tender, flavorful roasts, and they’ve been a kitchen staple for decades. The slow cooker, also known as a Crock-Pot, was first introduced in the 1970s. It quickly became popular for its convenience, allowing busy home cooks to prepare meals by simply tossing ingredients into the pot and letting it cook all day.

Cooking pork to a safe temperature is important for both flavor and safety. According to the USDA, pork should be cooked to an internal temperature of at least 145°F, followed by a three-minute rest. You can check the pork’s progress with an *instant-read thermometer, but being in the slow cooker for a long time means it will cook completely. If you are in a hurry, you could also cook for 1 hour in an *Instant Pot.

How to Serve

Once the pork is fully cooked, it will shred easily with a *shredding fork, creating juicy, tender pieces. Serve the shredded pork with tortillas, rice, refried beans, Mexican coleslaw, guacamole, salsa, and your favorite toppings for a complete Mexican-inspired feast.

This Pork Roast with Taco Sauce is not only delicious but also versatile and easy to prepare. You could use it for tacos, burritos, or even rice bowls. It’s a great dish for feeding a crowd or making ahead for leftovers.

Good afternoon and welcome to the Good
Plate’s Kitchen.
Today we are making pork roast with taco
sauce.
I know that sounds kind of strange.
I made this a long time ago and we really
loved it so I’m making it today.
And this is a two pound
pork loin roast garlic
onions and some ortega
original taco sauce.
So you can use whatever taco sauce you
prefer.
This one is relatively mild
because we’re having a friend
over for dinner who
doesn’t really like spicy food.
If you don’t like spicy food at all,
you could just use tomato sauce.
So this is going to go into the crock pot
which is super duper easy.
All you have to do
is put the roast in the
crock pot and then put
some garlic over there.
And onions just like that.
And the bottle of taco sauce goes right on
top.
Make sure it’s all covered
and roll it around so
that all of it get all of
that pork gets covered.
And then put the top on it.
Set it for however long you want to set.
I’m going to set mine for
six hours and come back
and then we’ll show
you what to do with that.
Okay, we’ll be back.
Okay, the pork is done and I’ve already
shred some of it.
I’m going to shred a little bit more so
you can see these are…
shredding forks.
Okay, that’s done.
And here is our roast
pork with taco sauce in
a serving dish that
we’re taking to the table.
And there is our Mexican feast ready for
everyone to enjoy.
And this is my taco.
Thank you for joining me on The Good
Plate.
We’ll see you next time.
Don’t forget to subscribe.
Bye bye.
