If you want to add a little brightness to your salad, try our Salad Magic Seasoning Mix. You can sprinkle it on just about any savory food and make it a real delight. This recipe is based on Mc Cormick’s Salad Supreme, but ours has a little more pizzaz.

I grew up with Salad Supreme and put it on many foods. When I ran out, I decided to make my own. The biggest difference between Shilling/Mc Cormicks’ Salad Supreme and Salad Magic Seasoning is it has no extra silicon or other unwanted ingredients.

The mix combines the rich flavors of paprika, poppy seeds, black pepper, parmesan cheese, sesame seeds, cayenne, and garlic powder to create a versatile and delicious seasoning.

The Ingredients:

  1. Paprika: Adds a subtle sweetness and vibrant color, making your salads visually appealing and tasty.
  2. Poppy Seeds: These tiny seeds bring a nutty flavor and a delightful crunch, enhancing the texture of your salad.
  3. Black Pepper: A classic spice that offers a sharp, pungent flavor, balancing the mix perfectly.
  4. Parmesan Cheese: Adds a savory and slightly salty taste, giving your salad a rich and creamy flavor.
  5. Sesame Seeds: Known for their nutty taste, sesame seeds add both flavor and a pleasant crunch.
  6. Cayenne: Brings a hint of heat, perfect for those who enjoy a little spice in their meals.
  7. Garlic Powder: A staple in many kitchens, garlic powder adds a depth of flavor and a mild, aromatic taste.

How to Use Salad Magic

Why Salad Magic Seasoning Mix? This seasoning mix is not only delicious but also incredibly versatile. Here are some ways we like to use it:

  • It’s great to add to Vinaigrette.
  • It’s especially good with eggs, so we use it for our Deviled Eggs in the Instant Pot and on hard-boiled eggs.
  • If you have some sorry vegetables that need a pick-me-up, Salad Magic Seasoning will make them delicious.
  • It’s great on popcorn
  • We like it for homemade BBQ Chips

Health Benefits: Salad Magic Seasoning has health benefits and amazing taste. Paprika and cayenne are known for their anti-inflammatory properties, black pepper aids in digestion, and garlic powder boosts the immune system. Parmesan cheese, while adding a delicious taste, also provides a good source of calcium.

Notes on the Parmesan

If you will use most of this seasoning right away, then go ahead and use real parmesan, the best you can afford. However, if you want to have it for a while, use jarred parmesan because it doesn’t clump and will not spoil as readily.

How to Store Salad Magic

We keep ours in a used bottled mushroom jar. It’s just the right size and holds enough seasoning for about 4 to 6 uses. I recommend dropping a desiccant pack in to prevent clumping.
