White chocolate cherry almond cookies are a delightful blend of flavors and textures. The sweetness of white chocolate pairs perfectly with tart, dried cherries. Crunchy almonds help create a cookie that’s as festive as it is delicious. They were featured in our Children’s Christmas Party.
These cookies remind me of the ones at Il Fornaio, a Beverly Hills bakery from many years ago that is now a full-service Italian restaurant. They contained a brandy-soaked candied cherry, surrounded by almond paste, and rolled in sliced almonds. They tasted wonderful. The bakery changed the recipe after realizing customers were buying the cookies and getting drunk.
White chocolate, cherries, and almonds—three ingredients that, when combined, create cookie magic. These White Chocolate Cherry Almond Cookies are a celebration of contrasting flavors and textures. Sweet and creamy white chocolate pairs beautifully with the tartness of dried cherries. The crunch of almonds provides the perfect finishing touch. Pure almond extract gives even more flavor. You can add brandy or brandy flavoring if you want to emulate the “drunk” cookies.
Easy to Make Any Time
These cookies are ideal for any occasion, from holiday gatherings to casual afternoon treats. With a dough that’s easy to prepare, they come together quickly, making them perfect for last-minute baking or holiday gifting.
Whether you’re baking for friends, family, or just for yourself, these White Chocolate Cherry Almond Cookies will add a touch of joy to your day. Pair them with a cup of tea or coffee for a truly delightful treat.
Use a Scoop
You can make these small using a small ice cream scoop or large using a larger scoop. Please use a scoop. If you use a spoon, you will be tempted to clean off the spoon with your finger, and your finger will wind up in your mouth, and you’ll wind up eating the dough before it goes into the oven. Be safe; use a scoop.
