Breakfast – What’s Cookin’? Something Good!

May is such an exciting month. There are many reasons to celebrate with friends and family.

For Americans, Cinco de Mayo is a time to honor the Mexican soldiers who won the battle of Puebla on May 5, 1862. It has been suggested that, had Mexico not defeated the French, France would have gone to the aid of the Confederate States during the Civil War, and the United States’ destiny could have been very different.

It’s also time to celebrate our mothers. I know the day is dedicated to women who have given birth, but I firmly believe that even if you just care for a plant, you’re mothering that plant, which counts. Right? Make Mom a great breakfast!

Winter’s icy fingers have finally let go, and summer is around the corner. Memorial Day is the unofficial start of summer. It’s time to make sure your air conditioner filters are clean because Summer is coming!

  1. Cinco de Mayo – I’m not going to put the date; you know when it is
  2. Mother’s Day – May 12
