Handy Glove Holder Review

If you use rubber gloves in the kitchen, you already know the problem. You peel them off after washing dishes, set them on the counter or stuff them under the sink, and the next time you reach for them, the inside is cold, damp, and sometimes worse. The Handy Glove Holder solves that problem with a simple hand-shaped plastic stand that holds your gloves open so air can circulate inside. That is it. That is all it needs to do, and it does it well. If you have been looking for a smarter way to store your kitchen gloves, this is it.

Why You Need Rubber Gloves in the Kitchen

Rubber gloves are one of the most underrated kitchen tools. Hot water and dish soap strip the natural oils from your skin with every wash, leading to dryness, cracking, and irritation over time. If you have sensitive skin, eczema, or simply handle a lot of raw meat and strong cleaning products, gloves create an important barrier between your hands and everything in that sink. They also protect you from burns when you need to handle hot pots or work with serrano or other hot chiles.

You can see how useful they are in the Carne Guisada for the Instant Pot post, where gloves are specifically recommended for handling hot peppers. Once you make rubber gloves a habit, you will not want to go back.

The Mold Problem Nobody Talks About

Here is the catch with rubber gloves. When you take them off after washing dishes, the inside is warm and damp. That is exactly the environment where mold and mildew grow. Fold them up, toss them on the counter, or stuff them under the sink, and you are trapping moisture inside. The next time you reach for them, you get a cold, wet, unpleasant surprise. Worse, you may not even notice mold forming until it has already become a hygiene problem.

The solution is simple: the gloves need to stay open so air can move through them. That is exactly what the Handy Glove Holder does. You may also find it useful to have a dedicated storage solution nearby, the way a bag holder keeps other kitchen tools organized and accessible.

Pros and Cons

Pros

  • Keeps gloves open so air circulates inside and they dry completely between uses
  • Prevents mold and mildew from forming inside the gloves
  • Compact enough to fit under the sink or sit on the counter without taking up much space
  • Simple to use; just slip the gloves over the hand-shaped form
  • Extends the life of your gloves by preventing rubber degradation from trapped moisture

Cons

  • Does not protect gloves from sun exposure; you will need to store it away from direct sunlight
  • Designed for standard rubber dish gloves; may not fit very large or specialty gloves

Handy Glove Holder In Depth Review

The Handy Glove Holder is a plastic stand shaped like a human hand with the fingers slightly spread. You slip each glove over the form after use, the fingers stay open, and air moves freely through the inside of the glove. That airflow is the whole point. Rubber gloves left bunched up or folded stay damp for hours, sometimes longer, and that is how mold gets started. This holder solves the problem passively with no moving parts and nothing to maintain.

Using it takes about five seconds. Slip the glove over the form, guide the thumb into position, and you are done. The base is stable enough to sit on a counter without tipping, and the profile is slim enough to tuck under a standard sink cabinet. There are also small hanging holes if you prefer to mount it on a hook or inside a cabinet door.

One important tip from the video: keep the holder and your gloves out of direct sunlight. UV exposure breaks down rubber faster than almost anything else, and you will start seeing cracks and holes far sooner than you should. A spot under the sink or inside a cabinet keeps the gloves dry, aired out, and protected.

At under ten dollars, this is one of those small kitchen investments that pays off immediately. Your gloves last longer, they are always dry and ready to use, and you never have to deal with that unpleasant wet-glove moment again. Thank you for reading this review. Good afternoon and welcome to the Good Plate’s Kitchen.

Today I want to talk to you about glove holders. Okay, these are my gloves that I use when I wash dishes. And I don’t know about you, but I think it’s really important to wear gloves when you do dishes or other household work. Just helps you keep your skin. Especially if you’re in hot water or getting too hot and burning yourself. Or if you’re also like me, you just don’t want to touch nasty things. So, you have your gloves and that’s just great. I want you to notice these gloves are kind of like they have something in them. And they do have something in them. They have a glove holder in them. Which I’m going to show you.

And these are glove holders. If you’ve even got a little place if you wanted to put something. But what’s really great about these glove holders is they keep your gloves dry. Because I’m sorry, there is nothing worse than putting on a glove and realizing that it’s wet inside and nasty. And there’s mold growing in. Yeah, just the worst. Anyway, this glove holder prevents that from happening. Just put gloves on it. I’ll put gloves on it. Hold on just a minute. Just slip it over like that. I’ll put it over a thing like that. Give it a thumb. And there. It’s all done.

These are just great and they fit underneath your sink. They fit on your counter. I will say one thing about preserving your gloves. If your gloves are in the sun, get them out of the sun. Because the sun will bake your gloves and ruin them. And you will have holes in them really fast.

So that’s my review of this glove holder. We’ll see you next time on the Good Plate. Thanks for watching. Remember, ever forward, ever flavorful. Yum, yum!
