I had high hopes for these Akamatsu Food Storage Containers. They fill easily and the seal is very good. My metal 1-cup measuring scoop fits nicely, too, so I can scoop out some flour without having to pour out it. They also clean easily, except for the top which is cleaned with a damp cloth as it should never be placed in water. They are also a nice size and are stackable. These containers hold up to a 5-pound bag of flour.
The seal on these containers is very good. There will be no worries about weevils or other bugs getting into your flour. I like to keep rice, flour, and even beans in mine.
My only complaint is that out of the four that I received, the locking mechanism for one of them does not work and pops open. I still like them, however, and intend to buy more.

These Akamatsu Homewares Set of 4 Extra Large Stackable Food Storage Containers are excellent containers for flour, pasta, sugar, or anything that you want to keep dry. Because they seal so well, no bugs will be able to get into your King Arthur Baking organic flour.
The only problem was that out of the 4 that I received, one was faulty and the lid does not seal properly. Others have also complained about this. Regardless, they are still excellent containers, and I will be getting more.

This is my review of the Akamatsu. Plastic storage containers. I had high hopes for these containers. I do a lot of baking and I thought they would be great for flour so I put flour in one of them. You see it’s very nice. It’s got a nice top. And it seals very nicely Okay? They also come with labels that you can put a label and chalk labels that you can put on there.
And, as I said I really wanted to like these a lot, however. this one As you can see I already was starting to make a little label for it. For 00 flour and you so you can see this ring here on the top this is how you seal them. You take this top like this like that open it Boom – very nice. They like this, and it closes and it stays locked. Now, this little guy that was in the set, if I push it down. And we wait and you see what happens. It pops right back up!
Now I don’t know if this particular one Just happened to be the bad one of the bunch, or if the other one’s idea which are for the set and only one is doing this. So I’m obviously going to keep the three that work and the last one maybe I’ll put flowers in it or something. No, not flour, flowerS
Okay and that’s my little review. And, again I don’t know whether this is something that happens with their products all the time or if this is just a fluke but like I said I like it except for that one. Okay, that’s it. Thanks.
