2016 – What a Year
Some many things happened in 2016 that just absolutely floored people. The person who won the popular vote, Hilary Clinton, lost the electoral vote, and much to many people’s chagrin, Donald Trump is our new President-Elect. There were many technological breakthroughs, including the Amazon Echo, an AI which is so useful, it almost becomes part of your family. Many of our favorites in the entertainment industry are no longer with us, including David Bowie, Prince, Carrie Fisher, a list that is too long and sad.

- The Fruit Boats pictured here were part of the Pirate Party Appetizers. This was absurdly easy to make, and very pretty to look at.
- We never got a picture for the Oreo Rum Balls, but they sure were good! You can make them with white cream cookies, and dip them in chocolate, yum, yum!

Nesco Baby Back Ribs These Nesco Baby Back Ribs were melt in your mouth delicious and very easy to prepare. You can make them in the summer, and since you would be using a Nesco you won’t be heating up your house!

Stuffed Mushrooms We love Stuffed Mushrooms in Wine Sauce at our house. They are simple to make, and great to eat. You can have them as an appetizer, or as a side dish.If you are going vegetarian, pair them with a baked potato, and have a fabulous meal. There used to be a restaurant in Beverly Hills where I would do just that, get a baked potato, mushrooms and a glass of wine. I couldn’t have been happier!

Veal Marsala Balls on Tomato Basil Cream Sauce Oh my! These Veal Marsala Meatballs were fabulous. You could easily make this for company, there are quite impressive, and pretty easy to make. If you can’t find veal, then use the leanest beef you can find. Ask the butcher. Please use real cream and real cheese for this dish, you won’t be disappointed.

Sweets for the sweet! Sometimes, you feel like a nut, sometimes you don’t. That’s a jingle from the famous candy. Well, we got your Almond Joy Coconut Cream Pie right here. It is delicious!
