Take the angel and lay foil over my angel’s wing, press all around it, then cut out around it. Since the cutter has the rest of the angle, push that part up to seal the mold on all sides.
Put four pieces of a single-color candy on a single sheet of wax paper, then fold it over, and seal it off. Use a hammer to crush and break up the candy. Put the crushed candy into the silicon prep bowls for the microwave.
Use a Q-tip soaked in vegetable oil to oil the molds. It’s very important to oil them well, or your product will not come out once it has set.
Put the candy into the microwave for about 50 seconds. Watch it carefully because if you let it go too long, it will start to caramelize. Check the microwave at 40 seconds, and let it continue at 3-second intervals until the candy bubbles nicely.
Remove the molten candy from the microwave carefully and pour it into the molds. Let the candies cool undisturbed.
After the candies cool off, they need to be wrapped up. Oxygen is your enemy! Wrap the finished candies in waxed paper that they will not stick to, and then wrap that up in foil.
