. Line a loaf pan with parchment paper.
In a stand mixer, beat the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add the two egg yolks and beat.
Add the banana, and beat.
Sift the flour, baking powder and salt together. Add to the mixture to the batter slowly while beating on low-speed.
When all the flour has been added, increase the speed to medium and beat for 2 minutes. Add the lemon juice and beat for one more minute.
Beat the egg whites with an egg beater in a separate bowl until they form medium peaks.
Fold the whites into the mixture and stir lightly until no white marks remain.
Pour into the prepared loaf pan and
bake
for 1 hour, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
Cool in the loaf pan.
When the cake is cool, remove it from the pan for frosting.

In a clean stand mixer bowl, beat the butter and cream cheese together.
Slowly add the powdered sugar.
Continue beating, and add the lemon juice.
If the mixture is too thin, add more powdered sugar, if it's too thick, add more milk.
